Reverend Edmund J. Riggins is one of eight children born to John and Daisy Riggins of Santee, SC. He graduated from the Holly Hill Roberts, the local high school. After he graduated he attended Claftin College and later graduated from Denmark Tech with an Associates degree in General Technology.

He is a member of Greater Holly Hill Ministry Alliance. Lake Marion Kiwans, O.C. Baptist Association, and many other organizations. In November 2000, he was licensed as a minister at the Chapel Hill Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend James E. Council, and in May of 2001, he was ordain as a licensed minister. He has served as a youth minister and pastor at various churches.

The most recent is Pine Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Julius Guinyard of Cordova, SC. In August 2004 he was called to pastor The Eleventh Hour Baptist Church in Holly Hill, SC, were he has began many ministries.

Pastor Riggins is known around his community as a minister that,"tells it like it is." He worked 18 years as Collision Repair Instructor at Bamberg Job Corp, Bamberg, SC.,and now is employed with Orkin Pest Control as a Lead Tech. He is married to Mary Alice Dixon of Summerton, SC, and they have four children.
